Boron Steel Spot Welding Bit for UHSS AHSS and Boron Steels. FeaturesFeatures. This bit was created to specifically cut boron steel spot welds. Made from tungsten carbide, this 8mm special coated 3-layer fluted drill bit is the only drill bit that is tough enough to drill and survive ultra-high strength steel, also known as boron steel. The three cutting edges help spread cutting forces over a larger area thus helping to prevent premature breakage. The multi-layer coating makes lubrication unnecessary. The bit can be used with our original 1800 rpm red ring drill or better yet with our 1000 rpm drill with blue ring. Item weight: 0.1 lbs.
